Grocery Spending / Meal Plans

Normally, I do my grocery shopping on the weekends.  But this past weekend I was able to use up some food we had on hand, which allowed me to go a little bit longer than usual.

Yesterday I did my shopping at a local produce store and Superstore.

I spent $86.56 in total and here is what I bought.

Monday

  • Tortellini
  • Caesar salad

Tuesday

  • Chicken kebabs
  • Rice pilaf
  • Grilled Veggies

Wednesday

  • Chicken Parmesan
  • Baked potatoes
  • Veggies

Thursday

  • Homemade pizza (tomatoes, ground beef, onion and bacon)

Friday

  • BBQ Beef
  • Sweet potato fries

Mmm…I bet those carbs are still tasting pretty yummy after your week off!

What do you eat for lunch? I can plan dinner really well but I’m always stumped for lunches. I eat leftovers when there are some but I don’t really care for sandwiches that are homemade.

I was wondering the same thing – what do you plan for breakfast and lunch?

I’m trying to go a bit ‘longer’ this week too! Hubby gets paid Thursday but crossing my fingers that we can last till Monday without shopping! All your meals sound yum!! :)
