Sofa Repairs

Our sofa is probably 10 years old, or so. One of the legs broke a few years ago and thankfully at that time I was able to repair it. Earlier this week the same leg broke again! And unfortunately, it was unable to be repaired. :(

We don’t have money to buy a new one right now, so we needed to get creative.

H brought home some 2 X 4’s that were laying around at his work and he built us new legs!

Our sofa has a skirt  – so you’ll never be able to see the legs, which is perfect!

Cost: $16.00, for screws.

Now we have our sofa back, and I hope it’s good for another few years. :D

Hah, really? It definitely works, for now. One day I would love to get a new one. :)

It certainly pays to have handy boyfriends! Good job on repairing the old sofa. :)

We bought our new (used) sofa on Craigslist, because there was no way we could have afforded to buy a new one. But before that, J had done the same thing with our old sofa – repaired the legs with some wood he had lying around in the workshop.
